Harrislam MIST Humanitarian Service 2026

Our Mission

Our main goal is to rebuild Jamaica's food supply after Hurricane Mellisa devastated the agricultural and crop supply across the nation. Through our fundraising events, donations, and awareness we could make a difference and help families relying on emergency aids find food and comfort that would hopefully last them months.

Hurricane Melissa & Jamaica

Hurricane Melissa caused severe damage to agriculture and food supply systems destroying crops, disrupting transportation routes, and flooding farmland. many farmers lost their harvests, affecting tier income and the availability of food in local communities. The impact extended beyond farms, leading to economic challenges, food shortages, and higher prices. Recovery efforts and community support play a major role in helping affected areas rebuild and restore their food production.

Solution

Co-Funding Campaign

Impact

"Helping Hand for Relief and Development" provides emergency relief assistance such as: food packages, clean water, and support for families and farmers affected by the environmental disaster.
The campaign is a shared donation effort where supporters would contribute through HHRD to increase impact. By combining resources, more families will receive assistance and fast recovery results.
Donations help fund food distributions, agricultural recovery, and ensure that affected communities receive proper support and begin rebuilding after destruction.
